Stray far from where plants are grown,
     And they strip them of their nutrients.
Stray far from where energy is produced,
     And they alter the balance with waste.
Stray far from where animals are killed,
     And they slaughter them in youth.
Stray far from where humans have needs,
     And they abandon them in the street.
Stray far from where God is your guide,
     And you steal from the creation.

Stay close to where plants are grown,
     And we flourish from their nutrients,
Stay close to where energy is produced,
     And we use only what nature provides,
Stay close to where animals are killed,
     And we eat only to survive.
Stay close to where humans have needs,
     And we respect all souls as equal.
Stay close to where God is your guide,
     And you revel in the creation.
