I am a tree,
Rooted in the ground,
Shading that close to me,
Growing proud and sure,
Yet I break myself to pieces,
And form myself of a ship,
To set off from the shore,
Surely I am on the other side,
But there are no more horizons,
And I am on the shore again,
Where I break myself to pieces,
And form myself of a fire,
Burning proud and sure,
Warming that close to me,
Yielding the light within,
Decomposing into the ground,
I am a tree.
